Global Heart Hub Brings Together the Global Cardiovascular Patient Community for its First In-Person Patient Networks Meeting
Global Heart Hub Brings Together the Global Cardiovascular Patient Community for its First In-Person Patient Networks Meeting
Global Heart Hub brought together the global cardiovascular patient community in Amsterdam from 9-10 June for our in-person Patient Networks Meeting and Community & Industry Roundtable Meetings.
Bringing together our Heart Failure, Heart Valve Disease, Cardiomyopathy and Women & Heart Disease Networks, the two-day meeting provided a unique opportunity for patient leaders from around the world to connect, exchange best practices and strengthen collaboration in support of people living with cardiovascular disease.
The meeting focused on identifying shared priorities, advancing network activities and exploring how patient organisations can continue to strengthen advocacy efforts, influence policy and improve patient outcomes through collective action.

Throughout the event, participants took part in dedicated Network discussions, shared successful initiatives from their own countries, explored common challenges and opportunities, and discussed the vital role patient organisations play in shaping national and international cardiovascular health policy.
A key theme emerging from the meeting was the importance of ensuring that patient perspectives are not only heard, but actively embedded throughout healthcare decision-making, research and policy development.
The meeting also reinforced the value of bringing together a diverse global community of patient advocates. By learning from one another and sharing experiences across countries and disease areas, participants strengthened existing partnerships while building new connections that will continue beyond the meeting itself.
Community and Industry Dialogue
The event concluded with Global Heart Hub’s Community and Industry Roundtable Meetings, providing patient organisations and industry representatives with an opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue around shared priorities, patient engagement, clinical research, unmet needs and the future of cardiovascular care.
These conversations highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving innovation while ensuring that the lived experiences of people living with cardiovascular disease remain central to discussions around research, care and policy.
Looking Ahead
As Global Heart Hub continues to expand its global network, the Patient Networks Meeting marks an important milestone in strengthening collaboration across the cardiovascular patient community.
The conversations, partnerships and ideas generated in Amsterdam will continue to inform our work and help shape future advocacy initiatives, research collaborations and patient-centred projects around the world.
Together, we are strengthening the voice of the cardiovascular disease patient community.
