An article based on Global Heart Hub's "Women's Heart Health Action Agenda" published in the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology
Global Heart Hub is delighted to share that an article, "From Awareness to Accountability: Implementing the Women's Heart Health Action Agenda in Preventive Cardiology" has been published in the American Journal of Preventive Cardiology. Read here.
The article is based on Global Heart Hub's Women's Heart Health Action Agenda, structured around five core areas for change that provide a coherent and actionable pathway to improve outcomes for women globally:
- Policy, funding & accountability
- Health systems transformation
- Medical education & workforce development
- Research & data equity
- Public awareness, engagement & empowerment
Preventive cardiology can help bring these five core areas for change to life by empowering women with the knowledge and tools to protect their heart health, supporting earlier prevention and detection, strengthening health systems and workforce capacity, advancing equitable research and data, and informing policy and funding.
The Action Agenda was developed through a rigorous, inclusive and transparent co-creation process, shaped by lived experience and clinical expertise. Read the report.
Special thank you to the article authors Prof Jenni Jones, Stacy-Ann Walker, Anna Dé, Karen Padilla and Prof Martha Gulati.
