Neil Johnson receives Honorary Degree (Doctor of Laws LLD) from University of Galway

Huge congratulations to our Executive Director, Neil Johnson, who received an Honorary Degree (Doctor of Laws LLD) from the University of Galway on November 29, in recognition of his 30+ year career to the fore in the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Neil has overseen foundation, growth and development of significant projects in cardiovascular health promotion across several non-profit organisations including Croí Heart & Stroke Charity in Galway, Ireland, and the Irish National Institute for Prevention and Cardiovascular Health (NIPC). His advocacy work continues in international patient engagement through the Global Heart Hub, which has a focus on strengthening the patient voice.
