Global Heart Hub Manifesto Wins Global Cardiovascular Award
Global Heart Hub Manifesto Wins Global Cardiovascular Award
We are thrilled and honoured to have been named WINNERS of the Best Prevention category at the Global Cardiovascular Awards in London last night for our manifesto,“Achieving Early Detection and Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Disease.”
Project Lead Olive Fenton and Senior Strategy & Partnerships Executive Teresa Glynn represented Global Heart Hub at the ceremony, where they proudly accepted the award from compère Patrick Monahan.
Speaking about the project, Olive shared: “It is an honour to represent the cardiovascular patient voice at this prestigious event, which recognises the vital contributions of multidisciplinary key players in advancing global cardiovascular care.”
This award is a testament to the power of collaboration. Together, we can drive real change in the early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
In 2024 Global Heart Hub united the cardiovascular disease (CVD) patient community with global thought leaders to create this first global manifesto calling for early detection and diagnosis of CVD: “Achieving early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease: A manifesto for change.”
The first-of-its-kind manifesto was developed via a multi-stakeholder approach, bringing together 125 patient advocates including 40 CVD patient organisations, key opinion leaders and multidisciplinary experts from leading organisations including World Heart Federation and the European Society of Cardiology.
With thanks to the collaboration of all our contributors, Global Heart Hub’s patient-led manifesto, “Achieving early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease: A manifesto for change”, is not only grounded in real-world patient experiences and priorities, but also aligns with the latest clinical guidance and evidence, reinforcing its relevance and potential impact on health systems worldwide.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this important manifesto. We celebrate this award with you.
