Global Heart Hub Calls for Every Country to
Have A National Action Plan for CVD
Have A National Action Plan for CVD
September 29th 2024
This World Heart Day Global Heart Hub is joining the World Heart Federations Use Heart for Action campaign, to help send a powerful and united message to our leaders and governments, to encourage all nations to implement comprehensive cardiovascular health plans and make cardiovascular health a priority.
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the world’s biggest killer – responsible for more than 20.5 million deaths every year, yet most countries still don’t prioritise heart health. National policies for cardiovascular disease are lacking, insufficient or simply don’t exist.
Global Heart Hub and some of its patient organisations from around the world have come together to share its united message about why it is important to sign the World Heart Federation petition to save lives and reduce the number of cardiac deaths. Cardiomyopathy is the leading cause of sudden cardiac death in people under 35. Know your family heart health history and identify those at risk. Watch Global Heart Hubs World Heart Day message here.
Help collect 1 million+ signatures to put an action plan in place to defeat the world’s biggest killer – heart disease.
A united cardiovascular community is a powerful one.
