Dr Sandra Lauck joins Global Heart Hub Clinical and Specialist Advisory Panel
We are honoured to announce Dr Sandra Lauck as the newest member to join our Clinical and Specialist Advisory Panel (CSAP).
CSAP is a group of leading global experts, representing interdisciplinary fields of cardiovascular disease, who support the Global Heart Hub in helping to ensure that evidence-based knowledge underlies our efforts to achieve the best possible outcomes for those living with heart diseases.
As an advanced practice nurse with expertise in the innovative management of valvular heart disease and the promotion of multidisciplinary care, Dr Lauck brings a wealth of experience to GHH. Her program of research focuses on the integration of patients’ perspectives in health services, the development of clinical processes to support advances in cardiac care and the promotion of cardiovascular nursing.

Speaking about her new role with GHH, Dr Lauck said, “I am honoured and excited to join the CSAP of the GHH. This is a unique opportunity for me to contribute to strong partnerships between people with lived experience of heart disease, clinicians, researchers and policymakers to advance cardiovascular care”.
Dr Lauck is a champion of patient-centred care and the contributions that nurses make to optimise outcomes and the delivery of health care. She holds the St. Paul’s Hospital Professorship of Cardiovascular Nursing at the University of British Columbia and is currently an Associate Professor at the UBC School of Nursing. and a nurse clinician scientist at the Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital.
