Digital Communications Specialist (Remote)

Established in 2019 and headquartered in Ireland, Global Heart Hub (GHH) is the first international non-profit organisation established to provide a voice for those living with, or affected by, cardiovascular disease. We are an alliance of 130+ heart patient organisations across 40+ countries, aiming to create a unified global voice for those living with or affected by heart disease.
About this Role:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as Digital Communications Specialist. The role will see the successful candidate create social media content, monitor & analyse performance and engage with users across multiple platforms to establish a strong digital presence for the organisation. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, healthcare professionals, industry partners and advocacy groups to advance the GHH mission to position the patient voice as an equal stakeholder in their healthcare.
This is an initial fixed term contract for 12 months. The days, number and hours of work are open to negotiation. This is a fully remote position with the candidate ideally based in Europe and having some experience within the patient advocacy / cardiovascular disease or general healthcare market.
The position will report to our Executive Director and our Operations Manager. The position will work alongside our senior communications specialist & our in-house graphic designer.
Supported by the Senior Communications Specialist specific tasks would include:
- Monitor the organisation’s social media accounts and ensure brand consistency in all social media messages
- Create relevant and versatile content to engage target audiences, promote our brand and drive engagement.
- Report and analyse the performance of social media campaigns and provide insights on performance metrics.
- Support the wider communications team in planning content and visual assets needed for live events, webinars or conferences.
Supported by the Graphic & Website Design Specialist – additional tasks could include:
- Content preparation / support assets creation in line with best practices while ensuring all designs are aligned with our brand.
- Develop graphics and materials for communication campaigns, including social media graphics, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Desired Qualities:
- 2-3 years of experience in managing social media platforms.
- Experience within the patient advocacy / cardiovascular disease or general healthcare market.
- Demonstrated experience in putting together digital media strategies, plans, campaigns and calendars.
- Design capabilities using Adobe Creative Suite & Canva.
- Excellent written & oral skills in English; additional language is a plus.
Remuneration & Application:
Salary commensurate with experience and work hours agreed.
