This report represents a major milestone in the consolidation of evidence and research on structural heart disease (SHD) and will strengthen the case for SHD Prioritization. In particular, the report provides a solid case for the following actions to be taken:
- Increasing awareness, and improving detection and treatment
- Inspiring and engaging policymakers, healthcare professionals and individuals (political commitment to invest in SHD care)
- More effective technology and data gathering (adoption of innovation)
- Involving patients in care decision
- Moving from recommendations to action (immediate use of RRF and EU4Health funds)
