Campaign Date: April 23 – May 23, 2019
Global Heart Hub is collaborating with the Heart Failure Policy Network on this initiative.
The heart failure pledge is a campaign to engage Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and 2019 European Parliamentary candidates with the heart failure challenge. It is a unique opportunity for MEPs to champion the needs of over 15 million Europeans living with heart failure, and to support greater equality in healthcare delivery and the sustainability of healthcare systems.
Specifically, the heart failure pledge calls on MEPs and European Parliamentary candidates to declare formal support for the following priority actions:
Developing a formal strategy on heart failure
Supporting timely and appropriate diagnosis of heart failure
Encouraging multidisciplinary care
Improving professional education on heart failure
Supporting person-centred approaches in heart failure care
Developing robust and public national audits of performance
