Global Heart Hub’s Manifesto Published in the Electronic Journal of the IFCC
Global Heart Hub’s patient-led manifesto, Achieving early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular disease: A manifesto for change, outlines a comprehensive approach involving public awareness, targeted detection programs, enhanced clinical processes, digital integration, workforce training, research investment, policy development, and equitable access. Specialists in laboratory medicine and laboratory tests, particularly NP (Natriuretic peptide) testing, and emerging technologies play a critical role in achieving these goals. By implementing these strategies, we can significantly reduce the burden of CVD, improve patient outcomes, and foster economic resilience and public health globally.
This good news follows quickly after our recent publication in the European Heart Journal – evidence that the key asks of the manifesto, are reaching an ever-wider audience and gaining in both relevance and momentum.
